NOTICE OF DESTRUCTION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS

To All Concerned:
Aline-CIeo Public Schools hereby notifies all individuals whose special education records were maintained by the district and who graduated or were expected to graduate prior to 2020 that their records will be destroyed as per district policy and in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
The following records will be destroyed:
Special education student files
Individualized Education Plans (IEP's)
Related services records
Evaluation and assessment documentation
These records will be destroyed on or after May 19, 2025. If you wish to review or obtain copies of these records, please contact Jim Vestal, Superintendent or Allison Hurst, Special Education Director by April 19, 2025.

After the destruction date, these records will no longer be available. Requests should include full name, year of graduation, and any other relevant identifying information. This notice serves as an official announcement of the destruction of records.
